Floralands Farm Park visit

23rd May 2024
Students in Beech class, concluded their latest Geography topic on Land Use this week by visiting Floralands Farm Park. All students showed excellent behaviour and it was a pleasure to take them out. We had a great day and it was a lovely way to end the half term. Well done Beech Class!!

Football In The Community

Last week, some of our Key Stage 3 students enjoyed a visit from Ben Cocker, Education Officer from Mansfield Town Football In The Community.

Students are currently learning about different career pathways open to them once they leave Derrymount School and Ben discussed the Post-16 offer at Mansfield Town FITC.  Students learned about how to get into different careers involved in sport and what a typical day studying with Mansfield Town involves – and how much time they would have to enjoy playing football whilst studying for a BTEC qualification!

Thank you to Ben for a wonderful presentation and for giving our students lots to think about.

Parent Carer Satisfaction Survey

If you are a parent or carer of a child or young person who has experienced the Education Health Care Plan annual review process in Nottinghamshire we’d like to hear from you!

Nottinghamshire County Council’s Integrated Children’s Disability Service is reviewing its current processes and documentation that support the Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) annual review and would like to hear the views of families who have experienced this process.

Your views are important as they will help us to understand the parts of the annual review process that are working well, and how we can further improve the Nottinghamshire EHCP annual review journey for parents/carers, the child or young person.

Tell us your views and opinions: Parent Carer Satisfaction Survey.

Please also let other parents and carers know about the survey if they have experienced the Nottinghamshire Education Health Care Plan annual review process. The survey will close on Friday 22nd November 2019.
