Special School Teachers Required (MPS + SEN point)

From September 2018

Derrymount School are currently seeking enthusiastic, energetic, committed and hardworking teachers to support our students to achieve their full academic potential in the KS2 and KS3 classes.

Derrymount is an all age Special School for students with special educational needs who have an EHCP. Professionals, who understand the challenges of living with Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, PDA, ODD, ADHD, dyslexia and associated behavioural difficulties or other complex learning needs and who have a passion for developing pathways to learning and living, are invited to apply to join our progressive and dedicated community.
We want to recruit individuals who have the capability to deliver outstanding outcomes for our pupils both educationally and socially, enabling our students to become independent young adults. Derrymount School is a split site provision and the successful applicant may be required to work across both sites. This post may suit an NQT or a more established colleague who wants to develop their skills in special needs education.

Derrymount School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, safer recruitment checks and references.

Visits to the school prior to application are welcomed, by appointment.
